Initiative:

Fragility to Resilience in Central and West Asia and North Africa

Innovations and digital tools for climate-resilient food value chains

Producers in Central and West Asia and North Africa (CWANA), especially smallholder farmers, often lack access to adequate climate risk information management tools, and services are rarely scaled due to the lack of a conducive environment and lack of private sector participation. Countries tend to lag in their investment in digital infrastructure and lack the enabling environment to support agricultural innovations.

Researchers are therefore working to accelerate and scale digital climate services, financial solutions and other technologies developed by the Initiative to improve the climate resilience of food value chains.
