Initiative:
Livestock and Climate
The CGIAR Initiative on Livestock and Climate has a wide array of demand, innovation and scaling partners, including ministries or state departments of livestock in each target country: climate change units in each target country; national universities (University of Nairobi, Hawassa University); regional bodies such as IGAD and AGNES; development banks such as the World Bank, IFAD and the African Development Bank; international NGOs such as SNV, ProCasur and Mercy Corps; local NGOs such as Reconcile (Kenya),and RBM (Senegal); private-sector companies such as MINERVA Colombia, iCow and Mediae in East Africa; global organizations (FAO, UNEP , IUCN, GRA, ILC); and international universities (WUR, Cornell, UC Davis, KIT, UHE Delft).
