Initiative:

Sustainable Healthy Diets

Research activities: Catalyzing food systems transformation

There is no “one size fits all” solution to deliver sustainable healthy diets for all. The need to identify, co-design, and support context-specific pathways for transformation at the national level cuts across the entire effort to transform food systems toward sustainable healthy diets.

At the core of the Sustainable Healthy Diets mission is the focus on ensuring stakeholder engagement and building capacity through the co-generation and use of insights on potential innovations; understanding barriers to change and power relationships among relevant stakeholders; and identifying and negotiating potential trade-offs and synergies in food systems transformation.

Researchers are engaging in national food systems processes to identify, co-design, support, and learn from context-specific pathways for food systems transformation toward sustainable healthy diets.
