Sustainable Healthy Diets
Research activities: Trade-off scenario analysis
Transforming food systems involves helping stakeholders understand the inevitable trade-offs they will encounter. Researchers are developing, testing, and applying decision-support tools to analyze trade-offs, and will use those tools to raise stakeholders’ awareness and capacity to understand and navigate the potential tensions resulting from food systems innovations and policies.
Working with innovation and demand partners is critical to first develop, and then apply, different tools to help national and subnational food systems stakeholders understand and navigate prioritization processes and eventually support the transformation toward healthier diets, fairer livelihoods, and more sustainable food systems.
