Initiative:
West and Central African Food Systems Transformation
Research activities: Enabling sustainable intensification and diversification of food production
Researchers aim to achieve this by pursuing demand-creation to promote nutritious foods; co-designing cost-effective, diverse, and sustainable production systems; promoting good agricultural practices (including integrated management of water, soil fertility, pests, and diseases); developing business models in sustainable seed system development; and disseminating approaches to diversified and intensified farming systems.
