The sixth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) is scheduled for 26 February to 1 March 2024 at UNEP’s headquarters in Nairobi.

The United Nations Environment Assembly
Gathering biennially in Nairobi, Kenya, with the participation of all 193 UN Member States, UNEA plays a pivotal role in steering the global environmental agenda and reinforcing efforts to fulfill the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
As the governing body of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), UNEA has convened five sessions since its inception in 2014, evolving from the earlier Governing Council of UNEP.
CGIAR Participation
On Monday 26, from 18:30 to 19:30, Research Director of The Alliance of Biodiversity International & CIAT Carlo Fadda will be partaking in the panel “Fostering national actions: strengthen ambition of national contributions to climate and biodiversity for Agriculture and Food Systems.”
