The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) of FAO will be hosting the tenth session of the Governing Body (GB 10) from the 20-24 of November, 2023, in Rome, Italy.

CGIAR and ITPGRFA collaborate through genetic resource conservation, biodiversity research, policy advocacy, and capacity building to promote sustainable agriculture and preserve plant genetic resources for global food security.

ITPGRFA aims to promote the conservation and sustainable use of all plant genetic resources for food and agriculture and the fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising out of their use, in harmony with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), for sustainable agriculture and food security.  

The tenth session of the Governing Body (GB 10) of the ITPGRFA will discuss policy, implementation, and budgetary aspects, advancing sustainable agriculture and food security.
