Webinar description:

This CGIAR Genetic Innovation Crops & Seeds webinar explores topics around inclusive crop breeding priority setting with a focus on methods and tools. We present global trends in trait preferences for crop breeding, an Ex-Ante priority setting framework for product concept testing, intrahousehold analysis in varietal adoption and novel methods in trait preference data synthesis and integration. The webinar will help participants:

  • Explore gaps and opportunities in global crop trait preference research,
  • Reflect on impact evaluation for potential product concepts,
  • Critically examine spousal discordance in improved crop varietal adoption,
  • Learn new machine learning approaches to integrate crop trait preference datasets.

For: Breeders & Social scientists, CGIAR leaders, NARES and other partners
