At the Cairo Water Week on October 31, 2023, the CGIAR Research Initiative on National Policies and Strategies (NPS) conducted a session focusing on the empirical analysis of Egypt’s climate-adaptive water productivity programmes. This session aims to highlight the multifaceted aspects of water productivity and emphasize the existing and best practices.

Expected outcomes were:

After participating in this presentation, the attendees will be able to:

  1. Compile a list of best practices for the NPS initiative;
  2. Influence the reflection on the methodology of policy coherence analysis;
  3. Document reflections and recommendations on policymaking and policy coherence around water productivity.

This work is part of the CGIAR Research Initiative on National Policies and Strategies (NPS). CGIAR launched NPS with national and international partners to build policy coherence, respond to policy demands and crises, and integrate policy tools at national and subnational levels in countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
