The debate on the retentions, from the political and the economic (clarin)

Clarin published an op-ed by Head of Latin American and Caribbean Program Eugenio Diaz-Bonilla, who unraveled the debate on Argentina’s economic retentions with simulations of the world economy.  Bonilla suggested that it is in the best interest of the agricultural sector for the government to assure that combinations of exchange rate, withholding, and world price are stable and competitive.
