What is the role of women in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions from food systems? How do we at the CGIAR Initiative on Low-Emission Food Systems support women’s leadership and strengthen social-technical innovation for women?
Wei Zhang, co-lead of Mitigate+, will address the above questions in an interactive moderated dialogue at a side event of the Climate Week NYC 2023.
To be held on 19 September 2023, the event titled “From Policy to Practice – Bringing Rio Conventions to life through women’s leadership in climate and biodiversity agendas” will shed light on the potential of nature-based solutions in achieving the goals of climate, biodiversity and land conventions. It focuses on how land restoration and agroecology can link to these conventions and launch projects with women as leaders.
