November 15, Washington, D.C.: I have informed IFPRI staff and supporters that my second, five-year term as Director General of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) will conclude in one year, December 2019. Upon completing my tenure, I will return to China and continue my life’s work to reduce hunger, malnutrition, and poverty around the world.
The IFPRI Board of Trustees, chaired by Mari Pangestu, has established a search committee and launched the process to find my successor. The position announcement will be forthcoming next month.
