The
International Potato Center (CIP) is currently seeking a motivated and
detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grants and Contracts Intern at
our Headquarters in Lima, Peru. As a Grants and Contracts Intern, you will play
a crucial role in supporting the operations of our Grants and Contracts
department, working closely with our Senior Manager and System Officer.
Key activities:
- Assist
in analyzing and entering contract-related data into the OCS ERP system.
- Support in maintaining up-to-date database and repository of
contractual transactions in OCS ERP and/or Knowledge Management Grants &
Contracts public and internal sites and PMU Project sites in coordination with Grants
& Contracts System Officer.
- Assist in cross-verifying grant/contract documentation for
consistency.
- Support in drafting Compliance Matrix for new awards.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, including support
timely submission of deliverables/reports by monitoring OCS alerts in
coordination with the Grants & Contracts System Officer.
- Support the follow-up actions for subgrant agreements.
- Assist in the subgrants close-out process.
- Support the management of electronic and hard copies Grants &
Contracts documentation of project files for proper record-keeping.
- Support distributing contractual documents internally and
externally.
- Participate in project life cycle reviews and meetings; and
support other Grants and Contracts transactions, when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with national and international health and
safety laws, regulations, and standards.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- Student
coursing at least the 4th year (8th Cycle) or recently graduated in International
Development, Business Administration, Operations or related field, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred previous experience (as volunteer or intern) in an
international organization / NGOs or project-based organizations, donor-funded
projects or in a similar position in CGIAR organizations, Research Centers, or
Public International Organizations.
- Basic knowledge of Data Analytics / Management, and statistics.
- Desirable knowledge of design and visual communications tools,
such as Genially or Canvas, AI.
- Proficient in MS Office, Office 365.
- Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to work in a
multidisciplinary environment and collaborate with research teams and partners.
- Excellent interpersonal relationships skills and teamwork
orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are
required.
- Desirable French at basic / intermediate level.
